Kamya Punjabi started her career as a model. She made her acting debut with the movie ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai ‘ in 2000. The actress also appeared in the Telugu film Maa Aavida Meeda Vottu Mee Aavida Chala Manchidi in 2003.
The actress made her television debut with Ssshhhh…Koi Hai in 2001 which she portrayed the role of Nisha. One year later she appeared in the Indian soap opera Kehta Hai Dil in the role of Karishma Singh. From 2002 to 2006 Kamya acted in the Hindi soap opera Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani in the role of Kiran. Kamya worked in popular crime investigation show C.I.D.
In 2008, Kamya participated a comedy show Comedy Circus on Sony TV. She also participated famous reality show Bigg Boss 7 on Colors TV.
