Early Life & Family
Nadhiya was born on October 24, 1966, in Bandra, Mumbai, India. Her father’s name is N. K. Moidu and her mother’s name is Lalitha. She has a sister named Haseena. The actress studied at Jehangir Bur Jorji Vachha Parsi Girls High School, Mumbai, and completed her B.A. in Communication Arts from Sir Jamsetjee Jeejebhoy School of Art.
Nadhiya Career
Nadhiya made her acting debut starring in the Malayalam drama film Nokketha Doorathu Kannum Nattu in 1984 which she portrayed the role of Girly along with Mohanlal and Padmini, for that the actress Malayalam Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Then Nadhiya acted in many Malayalam films such as Koodum Thedi, Vannu Kandu Keezhadakki, Onningu Vannengil, Atham Chithira Chothy, Oru Paathiraa Swapnam Pole, and Bheeshmaparvam.
The actress made her Tamil debut with the film Poove Poochudava in 1985 which she played the role of Sundari. One year later she played the lead role of Uma along with Mohan in the Tamil film Uyire Unakkaga.
In 1988, Nadhiya made her Telugu debut with the action-drama film Bazaar Rowdy in the role of Sireesha alongside Ramesh Babu and Gautami. The actress acted in the supporting role of Sunanda along with Pawan Kalyan and Samantha in the Telugu comedy-drama film Attarintiki Daredi in 2013 for which she won the TSR – TV9 National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Nadhiya also hosted the television series Jackpot in 2010 on Jaya TV. In 2019, she appeared in the Indian soap opera Roja on Sun TV.
