Shamili Career
Shamili made her acting debut starring in the Tamil movie ‘Rajanadaj’ as a child character Shamu in 1989. One year later, the actress played the child lead role of Anjali in the Tamil drama film ‘Anjali’ in 1990 for that she won National Film Award for Best Child Artist and Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Child Artist.
As a child artist, Shamili appeared in Malayalam cinema ‘Malootty’ as Malootty for that she won Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist. The actress also acted in the Kannada film ‘Mathe Haditu Kogile’ in the role of Pallavi and won Karnataka State Film Award for Best Child Artist. The actress released many films as a child artist such as Nippu Ravva, Chinna Kannamma, Hoovu Hannu, Nirnayam, Sabse Bada Mawali, Harikrishnans, Kandukondain Kandukondain, and so on.
As an actress, Shamili made her debut with the Telugu romantic drama film ‘Oye!’ in 2009 which she played the heroine role of Sandhya along with Siddharth for which she won the CineMAA Award for Best Female Debut. In 2015, she appeared in the Malayalam comedy film ‘Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti’ as Sreedevi. One year later, Shamili released her Tamil film ‘Veera Sivaji’ as Anjali along with Vikram Prabhu. The actress also acted in another Telugu movie ‘Ammammagarillu’ in the role of Sita.
