She did her schooling at Gandhi Public School, Ambadimala, Chottanikkara, and completed her bachelor’s in Communicative English from St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam.

Remya Nambeesan started her career as a child artist in the Malayalam drama film ‘Sayahnam’ in 2000. One year later, she played a minor supporting role in the Malayalam satirical film ‘Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka’. As a child artist Remya acted in many movies like Sthithi, Gramaphone, Perumazhakkalam, and Meerayude Dukhavum Muthuvinte Swapnavum.
The actress played the lead role of Gowri in the Malayalam film ‘Aanachandam’ in 2006 but the movie was unsuccessful at the box office. Then she appeared in the Malayalam drama cinema ‘Naalu Pennungal’ as Podimol. In 2020, the actress played the supporting role of Fathima Anwar in the Malayalam crime thriller film ‘Anjaam Pathiraa’ along with Kunchacko Boban, Sreenath Bhasi, Sharaf U Dheen, and Unnimaya Prasad.
In 2006, Remya made her Tamil debut with the romantic drama film ‘Oru Naal Oru Kanavu’ in the role of Vanaja. She worked in the Tamil art film ‘Seethakaathi’ in 2018. One year later the actress appeared in the comedy film ‘Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma’ in the role of Shruti. In 2021, Remya release the Tamil action movie ‘Thamilarasan’ in which she played the lead role alongside Vijay Antony and Suresh Gopi.
