Sara Ali Khan was born on August 12, 1995, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India to parents Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. She was born in a showbiz-oriented family where her paternal grandparents Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore were connected to the Bollywood showbiz industry.
Her parents and stepmother also are actors. She has a younger brother named Ibrahim Ali Khan and a half-brother Taimur Ali Khan who comes from her father’s second marriage to Kareena Kapoor. In fact, she belongs to Bengali and Pathan descent from the father’s side and Punjabi descent from the mother’s side.
She did her schooling at Besant Montessori School, Mumbai. Then she moved to the United States where she studied at Columbia University and completed a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science.
In 2004, her parents got divorced when she was 9 years old. Initially, her mother got the legal guardianship of her children and Saif Ali Khan was not allowed to meet his children. However, she has a good relationship with her stepmother Katrina Kaif.
It is a fact of interesting that, her father Saif Ali Khan married Amrita Singh in 1991 who was more than 12 years older than him. Again he married Kareena Kapoor who is nearly 10 years younger than him.

Sara Ali Khan kicked off her journey in the showbiz arena at five years age appearing in an advertisement. Being inspired by the Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai, she comes into the film industry. She made her acting debut starring in the Hindi-language romantic drama disaster film ‘Kedarnath’ in 2018.
In fact, her first movie created a fierce stir enough in the Bollywood box office. Khan’s career took a major turn after being cast in the Indian Hindi acting film ‘Simmba’ in 2018.
