Trisha Krishnan was born on May 4, 1983, in Pallakad, Kerala, India. The actress belongs to a Tamil Palakkad Iyer family. Her father Krishnan worked as a general manager at a five-star hotel in Hyderabad and her mother Uma Krishnan is a housewife.
Trisha studied at Sacred Heart Matriculation Hr. Sec School, Church Park, Chennai. Then she completed her Bachelor of Business Administration from Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai. After graduation, the actress worked as a model and appeared in many beauty pageants, and won Miss Chennai in 1999 for that she got many offers for films.
Trisha Krishnan Career
Trisha Krishnan made her acting debut appearing in the Tamil romantic movie ‘Jodi’ in 1999 in which she played the supporting role of Simran’s friend. The actress played the debut lead role in the Tamil romantic drama film ‘Mounam Pesiyadhe’ in 2002 along with Surya Sivakumar. The film became successful at the box office. Trisha acted with Vikram in the Tamil action film ‘Saamy’. In 2003, she released her Tamil comedy film ‘Enakku 20 Unakku 18’.
The actress made her Telugu debut with the romantic action film ‘Varsham’ as Sailaja is a middle-class girl who became a star. For that role, she won the Telugu Filmfare and Santosham Awards. At the same time, Trisha appeared in the political thriller film ‘Aayutha Ezhuthu along with Siddharth, Madhavan, and Surya.
In 2006, she acted in the Telugu action dance cinema ‘Pournami’ along with Prabhas, the movie was commercially successful. The actress worked in the Tamil action comedy film ‘Kuruvi’ in which she played the lead role alongside Vijay.
In 2009, Trisha appeared in the Tamil romantic film ‘Sarvam’ opposite to Arya. ATt the same time, she released the Telugu action comedy film ‘Sankham’ alongside Gopichand. Her Tamil romantic drama film ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa’ was commercially huge successful. Then she worked in Kamal Haasan comedy film ‘Manmadan Ambu’ in 2010.
Trisha made her Bollywood debut with the Priyadarshan’s comedy-drama film ‘Khatta Meetha’ in which she played the lead role alongside Akshay Kumar. In 2015, the actress released the Tamil action film ‘Yennai Arindhaal’ alongside Ajith Kumar. One year later she played the lead role in the Tamil comedy horror movie ‘Aranmanai 2’ along with Siddharth.
In 2018, the actress made her Malayalam debut with the romantic comedy film ‘Hey Jude’ opposite to Nivin Pauly. In the following year, Trisha played the role in the Tamil romantic cinema ’96’ along with Vijay Sethupathi. The actress also worked with Rajinikanth in the action-drama film ‘Petta’.
