Nishigandha Wad made her acting debut by appearing in the movie ‘Shejari Shejari’ in 1990. One year later she appeared in the Marathi comedy-mystery film Eka Peksha Ek. The actress worked in the Marathi comedy film Sata Lota Pan Sagla Khota in 2014. Then she released many Marathi movies like Bandhan, Bala Jo Jo Re, Premankur, and Prem Kahani EK Lapleli Ghoshta.
The actress made her Bollywood debut film Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro in 1990. Nishigandha acted in the film Daadagiri in 1997 along with Mithun Chakraborty, Ayub Khan, and Simran. The actress also worked in many Hindi films such as Karm Yodha, Deewangee, Indian Babu, Indian Babu, and Race 3.
Nishigandha made her television debut with the series Aavhaan in the role of Veena. In 2017, she appeared in the Hindi drama television series Savitri Devi College & Hospital which she played the role of Savitri Anand Malhotra. Then Nishigandha worked in various television series like Meri Gudiya as Avi’s grandmother, Dastaan as Nishi, and Peetcha Karo as Sarita on Doordarshan.
