Anupama Parameswaran was born on February 18, 1996, in Irinjalakuda, Thrissur, Kerala. The actress belongs to a middle-class Hindu family. Her father’s name is Parameswaran Erekkath and her mother’s name is Sunitha Parameswaran works at LIC of India. She has a brother named Akshey Parameshwaran. Anupama did her schooling at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Irinjalakuda, Kerala, and completed her graduation in Communicative English from CMS College, Kottayam.

Anupama Parameswaran made her acting debut appearing in the Malayalam movie Premam in 2015 which she portrayed the lead role of Mary George along with Nivin Pauly and the movie also a commercial success. One year later she appeared in the Malayalam drama film James & Alice in the role of Isabel. Later the actress worked in many Malayalam films like Jomonte Suvisheshangal, Maniyarayile Ashokan, and Freedom @ Midnight.
In 2016, Anupama made her Telugu debut with the romance movie A Aa which she played the lead role along with Nithiin and Samantha. At the same time, she also released another romantic Telugu movie Premam in the role of Suma along with Naga Chaitanya. In 2021, the actress also appears in Telugu cinema 18 Pages.
Anupama made her Tamil debut with the political action thriller film Kodi in 2016 which she played the role of Malathi alongside Dhanush. After a long time, she released her second Tamil romantic comedy cinema Thalli Pogathey in the role of Pallavi along with Atharvaa and Amitash Pradhan.
The actress also worked in Kannada films, she made her Kannada debut with the supernatural action film Natasaarvabhowma in 2019 in the lead role of Shruthi alongside Puneeth Rajkumar and Rachita Ram.
