Neelima Azeem is her stepmother and Supriya Pathak is her biological mother. The actress has two brothers, one is a Bollywood superstar, and the famous actor Shahid Kapoor is her half-brother and another is Ruhaan Kapoor also an actor. Sanah did her schooling and college in Mumbai.

Sanah Kapoor made her acting debut starring in the movie ‘Shaandaar’ in 2015 along with her brother Shahid Kapoor and her father Pankaj Kapoor. In this movie, she played the role of Eesha Arora as the daughter of Pankaj Kapoor and half-sister of Alia Bhatt. The actress appeared in the film Khajoor Pe Atke in 2018 which she played the role of Nayantara Sharma. Two years later Sanah also acted in the Hindi language film Saroj Ka Rishta and lead the role of Saroj.
