Giorgia Meloni was born on January 15, 1977, in Rome, Italy to parents Francesco Meloni and Anna Paratore. Her father is a tax advisor who left the family at her eleven years old. At the age of 15, she joined the Youth Front, the youth wing of the Italian Social Movement (MSI).
Meloni received a diploma degree from the Amerigo Vespucci Institute in 1996.

Giorgia Meloni began her political career journey by joining Student Action, a far-right student movement in Italy. She was a councilor of the Province of Rome from 1998 to 2002 and became the president of Youth Action. In 2014, she became the president of the Brothers of Italy (FdI).
